Customer Review: Where’s the quality control?
Hoping for the best I ordered a tech 99. The overall quality was very disappointing. The stock was big and bulky, there were several deep dents and a black paint strip smear. The sights are plastic as well as the trigger guard. The scope stop is a piece of light metal with one small screw. After reading about a guy who lost his thumb when something went wrong as he was loading it gave me the gitters! I’m new to this airgun thing, but I know what quality is and this ain’t it. I haven’t put enough ammo through it yet to tell if it will group or not, but I can sure tell you this…it’s crude. I bought another air rifle(remington summit 1000) for less money and it’s like comparing a porche to a vw! Everything from finish to scope and it’s grouping 1" at 30 yds! If you have any pride of ownership I highly recommend passing on the "99". Even the scope seemed cheaper and more difficult to use than the summit, the scope mounts seemed to be hanging on by there fingernails.
